Wandering the Path of Mortal Life

A being transcending the mortal world sought to become a living creature, and its choice was humanity.

A will descended from the void, and a body fell into the mortal realm.

In the wilderness, a blank vessel awoke in a daze. Within an ordinary existence lay traces of the extraordinary and immortal. He wandered in confusion, unaware of why he had become human.

In a clinic, a selfless young man wept blood as he suffered a tragic end. His self-sacrifice reflected the greed of human nature. Betrayed and burdened with debts, he journeyed far away to survive.

As he traveled toward the peaks of distant mountains, Lin Ye gained, struggled, and in the end, despaired.

With little time left to live, Lin Ye witnessed the grandeur of the Heavenly Abyss Falls, imprinting upon himself the traces of sword and water.

Crossing through wind and snow, Lin Ye endured the trials of a prosperous age ruled by kings, laying the foundations of both letters and arms.

Walking through the ghostly realm, Lin Ye saw through the eerie veil separating life and death, tempering within himself the true meaning of slaughter and salvation.

Standing atop the mountain, Lin Ye faced the despair of a shattered world, bearing the fate of the Dao and its laws.

Afterward, with the flame of life burning anew, Lin Ye gazed up at the endless path of the Dao and down at fragile humanity. He repaid kindness and fulfilled promises, and settled blood feuds.

Understanding cause and effect and possessing a clear Dao heart, Lin Ye moved freely through countless worlds, seeing humanity, immortals, and all things. At the end of heaven and earth, he came to see himself.
