In Qingcheng No. 1 Middle School, Su Yingxue is a walking shadow. Her mother died young and her father was an alcoholic. She wrapped herself in surliness and indifference. Until she met Lin Zhibai, a poor boy who wore a white-washed school uniform and worked three jobs, but still believed that "there is still pure whiteness in a dirty world."
Lin Zhibai's kindness was like an untimely light, shining stubbornly into Su Yingxue's darkness. He began to approach her awkwardly, handing her an old umbrella on a rainy night when she was abandoned by the world, and standing in front of her when she was stabbed by rumors. Behind Su Yingxue, there is always Mo Ji - the elegant, perfect and controlling senior who is also the "benefactor" who pulled her out of the abyss and taught her to fight evil with evil.
Mo Ji believes in the dark philosophy: "Order is established by power, and kindness is an excuse for the weak." He regards Su Yingxue as his most perfect work, a sharp weapon polished with darkness. When the piece begins to long for the light, a silent war breaks out.
In this battle between pure white and darkness, Su Yingxue struggled between coldness and warmth, Lin Zhibai stood firm between reality and ideals, and Mo Ji played between control and destruction. From the classroom to the rooftop, from rumors to flames, the fate of the three people is closely intertwined.
When the final firelight lit up, some people used their lives to complete redemption, some people used their deaths to practice their beliefs, and some people used the rest of their lives to continue the light. This is a story about tearing and healing, degradation and sublimation - it tells you that in the deepest darkness, the most dazzling light is often born; the most complete despair often breeds the toughest hope.
Because true redemption is never about forgetting scars, but learning to walk towards the sun with scars.
