Hogwarts: The Hufflepuff Charm Caster
I know the whole plot, but the System tells me to keep a low profile.
Kevin Jones was an overworked office drone in his previous life, worked to death before his time. When he opened his eyes, he was a new Hogwarts student, bound to a multiverse System that could grant him the Twelve Talismans.
The Rat Talisman can bring stone statues to life, the Ox Talisman lets you tear trolls apart with your bare hands, and the Rabbit Talisman makes you faster than the Golden Snitch
But the System's first task is: Get into Hufflepuff, and don't draw attention to yourself.
So while the study addict counts owls, the Chosen One studies until he ends up in the hospital, and the snakes, lions, and eagles scheme against one another, Kevin grows herbs in the Hufflepuff greenhouse, slips sweets to the House-elves in the kitchen, and feeds Thestrals at the edge of the Forbidden Forest.
All he wants is to lie low until the story ends, quietly change a few tragedies with the Talismans, and graduate in peace.
Until the Goblet of Fire spits out a fourth name
Cedric Diggory.
The Hufflepuffs around him are horrified, and the professors look grave. Kevin looks at the upperclassman destined to die in a graveyard, then at the System's newly updated task:
[Final Chapter Task: Rewrite Death.]
[Reward: The complete sequence of the Twelve Talismans.]
He sighs and raises his hand as everyone stares in disbelief.
“Professor, can I apply to bring a pet into the competition?”
At his feet, the little Puffed Puff, always mistaken for a stuffed toy, opens its mouth and blows a bubble.
Inside the bubble, Hogwarts Castle is crumbling.
And the real competition has just begun.
Reader's guide:
1. The protagonist is clever and knows how to lie low, but when it's time to act, he hits them with the Talismans.
2. Hufflepuff takes center stage. Loyalty and serving spoons are eternal.
3. No romance.
4. The Talismans are based on the magic talismans from Jackie Chan Adventures.
The sense of conspiracy is overwhelming
It feels so outrageous, but it has little to do with the original work. Hermione is as omniscient and omnipotent, and the Sorting Hat can even read the system.
I found Chapter 6 boring.
