Twin sisters unknowingly fall in love with the same person. The older sister uses a lie to drive the younger one away, then dies of illness. The hero gives his life to save the younger sister. At the funeral, she learns the truth and, carrying the love and pain of all three, walks alone into a world without him, yet illuminated by him.
