Transmigrating as Wu Zetian: Still COO in the Tang Dynasty

Did I really transmigrate?

I’m Zhou Zhao’an, 30 years old, COO of a publicly traded tech company, with several hundred people under my management. I’d just finalized a deal worth hundreds of millions and was driving my Porsche back to the office. As I waited at a traffic light, I heard the sharp squeal of brakes. Then…

When I opened my eyes again, someone called me “Lady Wu.” Well, I’d become Wu Zetian in the eleventh year of the Zhenguan era, just fourteen years old and only a few days into life in the palace.

After absorbing the original owner’s memories, I laughed in disbelief. The good news: I’d become China’s only female emperor. The bad news: Wu Meiniang spent fifty-three years going from a low-ranking consort to the throne, suffering countless hardships along the way. My transmigration had come out of nowhere, and I might return to my own time any day. If I spent decades struggling, only to transmigrate back before becoming emperor, wouldn’t all that suffering be for nothing?

No way. Absolutely not!
