The Taixuan Sword That Subdues Demons

The various incantations recorded in this book should never be recited lightly without a proper orthodox master to guide you.

The Supreme Old Lord’s eighty-two transformations were created to overcome the “Killing Tribulation,” taking the form of a purifier charged with bringing about the “Final Tribulation.” Descending into the Age of Dharma’s Decline, Taixuan wields the Demon-Slaying Sword and sweeps across the eight wildernesses: slaying evil demons, destroying heretical sects, freeing wronged souls, and subduing all fiends. In the end, the worlds of humans and ghosts are separated, peace reigns across the four seas, and the people live in safety and contentment.

Killing Tribulation: Stopping killing with killing and ending war with war, transforming a tribulation of slaughter into one that protects life.

Final Tribulation: As monsters and demons run rampant in the Age of Dharma’s Decline, the purifier is charged with cleansing the turbid world of demonic influence and safeguarding the foundations of the righteous path.
