From the Start, an Evil God Came to Collect: I Pledged the Gods and Turned My Life Around

Financial trader Chen Xu transmigrates into a world overrun by evil nightmare monsters and coveted by gods. He receives no System, but instead finds an inexplicable debt ledger. How much does he owe? Unknown! Who is the creditor? Unknown! The interest? His life!

Fortunately, as long as he maintains his credit rating and pays the interest, this [Ledger of the Old Ones] allows him to keep borrowing.

Facing a monster's S-rank killing blow? Chen Xu says, “[S-Rank Loan: Absolute Defense]. The interest is shattered bones and flesh? Activate guarantor mode! Lock the target onto my opponent!” Boom! Chen Xu emerges completely unharmed, while the S-rank monster dies on the spot.

And as long as he repays his debts on time and raises his credit rating, he can unlock even more financial tools!

From then on, every fear can be priced, and every trace of divinity can be used as collateral.

Chen Xu sets out to repay his debts, stay alive, and improve his credit rating. He moves among monsters and gods, using debt transfers, leveraged short-selling, bankruptcy liquidation, and other methods to turn monsters into his hired hands and offer gods up as sacrifices and collateral!

“As long as the interest is high enough, I'd even dare to put my own life up as collateral. Of course, I definitely won't be the one picking up the tab in the end.”

When the gods descend, ready to destroy the world, Chen Xu holds up his ledger and smiles like a capitalist at the ancient Old Gods filling the sky. “Sorry, I've already privatized this place and filed for bankruptcy liquidation. Whatever you're here to do, just don't interrupt me while I deal with these bad assets!”

This is the story of a man saddled with enormous debt who eventually makes it out on top.
