I read Chapter 23, which talks about the anti-corruption in the Song Dynasty. The more I read the story, the more exciting it becomes. The author's writing is good and the plot is compact. The protagonist Shen Mo is not afraid of death and is not greedy for life, and is committed to bringing clarity to the world. It is a high-level novel worthy of reading by old bookworms. If the story ended when Shen Mo passed away, I would think this book would be perfect. However, the supernatural events that appeared in the last dozen chapters always felt out of place... So I dropped one star.
