After Coming Down the Mountain, the Five-Year-Old Mystic Sect Prodigy Becomes the Darling of a Wealthy Family

Nian Bao, a once-in-a-century prodigy from Xuanqing Temple, is five years old when her master kicks her down the mountain. “Go find your dad. He’s about to get himself killed.”

With a small, dusty cloth bundle on her back, Nian Bao stands outside the most luxurious skyscraper in Jiang City. She gazes at the dense aura of death swirling around its top floor, her little face grave. “Daddy’s home is such an unlucky place.”

The Lord of the Fu family is cold-blooded and ruthless, feared throughout Jiang City’s business world. Lately, though, a strange little tyke keeps showing up and making a nuisance of herself.

The little girl tugs at his trouser leg. “Daddy, you’ve got a dark aura between your brows. You’ll have a bloody disaster tonight!”

The Lord Fu sneers. “Throw her out.”

That very night, he gets into a bizarre car accident, but at the last second, a small figure and a crisp “Stop!” save him from certain death.

He stares at the tiny girl clutching a yellow talisman, tears of fright in her eyes as she stands in front of him, and feels his entire worldview shatter.

Later, all of Jiang City is left dumbfounded:

The Lord Fu attends meetings with a little daughter nibbling on a compass tucked in his arms.

The cold-hearted young master becomes a doting brother, boasting every day, “The talismans my little sister draws are so good, even evil spirits beg for mercy!”

The family’s business rivals suffer one run of bad luck after another and beg for mercy through their tears. “Lord Fu, please keep that little menace of yours in check! She’s already helped relocate my family’s ancestral graves three times!”

Nian Bao counts on her fingers: catching ghosts, telling fortunes, reading feng shui… Why do Daddy and her brothers have more and more troubles?

Meanwhile, the group chat for the Underworld’s staff is flooded with alerts: [Attention! The little menace is having the time of her life in the mortal world. Don’t disturb her unless absolutely necessary! Unless she starts missing you!]
