The story takes place in the Qin Dynasty and revolves around Zhao Jinghong, a time traveler. He is trapped in a prison, but with his insight into history, he tries his best to persuade the imprisoned Fusu to rise up and seize power in order to save the Qin Dynasty from danger. Unexpectedly, this "conspiracy" has already been revealed by Ying outside the door. Zhao Jinghong eavesdropped on the whole process of the government, and not only was Zhao Jinghong's "treasonous remarks" not punished by Ying Zheng, but he was unexpectedly appreciated and explored by Ying Zheng because of his accurate prediction of the world situation, his recognition of Ying Zheng's achievements, and his unique insights into the way of governing the country. Under Zhao Jinghong's guidance, Fusu gradually got rid of the shackles of Confucianism and transformed from an indecisive prince into a responsible successor.
