The Killer Was Right Behind Me, Yet I Smiled

I’m blind.

One night, my husband suggested we try something more exciting and covered my face with a cloth.

I trembled with fear and couldn’t make a sound.

In the end, he didn’t touch me, and we parted on bad terms.

But the next day, the police told me that my husband had been murdered just beyond the wall.

They also said the killer was still at large, and I might be his next target.
