Shanghai, 1941.
Gu Pansheng, a Communist Party member, operates under the cover of being a secretary in the Wang Jingwei puppet government. He maneuvers among five forces: the Japanese, the puppet government, the Nationalists, and the Communists. He passes on the Japanese military’s top-secret “Northward Advance” intelligence, information that will change the course of World War II. With comrades ordered to eliminate traitors poised to strike, he completes his mission on the knife’s edge, bringing the tragic tension between faith and sacrifice to its peak.
After listening to the first two chapters, I couldn't wait to comment. The visuals are very strong, with suspicion, detection, intelligence methods... There are no words about depression, but the dialogue is full of tension and depression that are about to overflow.
It feels quite real and makes people want to read on.
Super pretty! The deep meaning is hidden in the simple, and the true meaning is revealed in the plain.
It has strong logic, great visual sense, clear story line and high readability.
