Our world was once an age when gods walked among us and miracles came to pass.
Back then, people with supernatural powers roamed the land. They were called “Anomalies,” living miracles. But in the end, fear overcame reverence. Ten thousand years ago, those who held power reached an agreement in a secret chamber. In the name of “peace” and “the future,” they brought down the blade. The hunt began. The blood of the Anomalies soaked the soil, and ancient traditions were forced into the deepest shadows, becoming forbidden knowledge for later generations: the origin of “Anomaly Studies.”
But once betrayal begins, it cannot be stopped. They turned their eyes toward beings of even greater power, weaving a net of rumors and suspicion. “The gods are plotting something.” Whispered words swelled into a wave that swept across the world. Faith crumbled like a sandcastle, and the gods, robbed of their anchor, went out one after another in the long, agonizing “Age of Falling.”
Five thousand years of frenzied deicide drained the world of its “grace.” At last, the fifteen surviving gods silently took up the shattered powers of their fallen peers and gazed down upon this land nurtured by betrayal.
And this was not the end. Hatred, ambition, and schemes planted the seeds of a long plot between gods and humanity, one that would span five thousand years. Its price came due seven hundred years ago in the most brutal way...
