Lights in the Perilous Tower

[No Female Lead] [No Romance] [No System]

The story begins in a post-apocalyptic world where the zombie virus has spread everywhere. The protagonist, Xu Jinheng, awakens in Lighthouse Fortress, a sturdy, well-stocked building his father secretly built on the outskirts of the city. Using the clues and supplies his father left behind, he quickly arms himself and sets out on a perilous journey, successfully rescuing three friends: the brash but loyal Zhao Sanshi, the careful and resilient Su Qing, and the timid, kind-hearted Lin Wei.

The four make Lighthouse Fortress their base and form a survival team called Spark. Once they have secured their stronghold, they risk a trip to the ammunition depot south of the city that Xu's father left behind. There, they obtain crucial equipment, including a 04A infantry fighting vehicle, a large stockpile of weapons and ammunition, and powered exoskeleton armor, greatly increasing their strength. Along the way, they encounter Regiment Commander Cheng, nicknamed Blind Cheng, and two of his soldiers. Separated from their unit, they have stayed true to their military duty, and their addition further strengthens the team.

But one crisis follows another. A massive horde of zombies appears in the north, heading straight for the fortress. To the south, villagers in a settlement controlled by Lao Zhou, a former village official, follow a bizarre cult known as the Sun Ancestor. They are hostile toward Spark and watch the team from the shadows.

Now Spark faces challenges both within and without. Internally, they must bring old and new members together and improve their combat and survival skills. Beyond their walls, they must contend with endless zombies, a mysterious cult, and the complicated struggles of human nature after the apocalypse. With Lighthouse Fortress as a beacon of hope, they fight to survive among the ruins and search for more survivors, striving to expand their safe zone and keep the light of civilization alive in this desperate wasteland.
