I Heard CEO Gu Wants to Be My Dad?

Five years ago, a business marriage bound me to him.

Everyone said we were a perfect match. Only I knew that he kept another woman’s photograph hidden in his desk drawer.

The day we divorced, I signed the papers calmly. “Gu Yan, let’s never see each other again.”

He thought I was just throwing a tantrum, until he watched me disappear into the rainy night with my suitcase.

Five years later, my design takes center stage at an international jewelry exhibition.

Red-eyed, he storms backstage. “Why does that iris brooch look exactly like the one she wore?”

I turn and leave, holding my four-year-old daughter’s hand.

The little girl suddenly turns back and holds up the painting trophy she has just won. “Mister, you look a lot like my dad.”
