Who Loves a Fallen Heiress?

The Bankrupt Heiress and the All-Purpose Contract

Lin Xingwan was once a Chinese literature prodigy, raised in luxury. But when her family falls from fortune, she ends up working night shifts at a convenience store. Just as the pressure of making ends meet pushes her to the brink, an offer appears: a temporary girlfriend gig paying three thousand a day. To her surprise, the client is Lu Jingchen, the famous heir to the Lu Group.

A cold business contract binds together two people who otherwise have nothing in common. She needs the money to escape her predicament, while he needs a "suitable" girlfriend to fend off pressure from his family to marry. There is no romantic back-and-forth, only clearly defined rights and obligations.

When a bankrupt heiress meets a wealthy heir, what turmoil will this mutually beneficial arrangement stir up as they keep pretending to be a couple? And can the rejected manuscript hidden in her backpack find a glimmer of hope amid the grinding realities of life?
