The danger from beyond the stars was gone, but so was the path to cultivation.
Every living planet is like a breathing lung, drawing "qi" from the vast universe to let its inhabitants cultivate. Even those who do not cultivate are far stronger than life on Earth today.

That is why the Heaven-Seizing Taoists were forced to appear 1.47 million years ago. Their mission was passed down from generation to generation: to punch a hole in the shell.
The mighty cultivators of the time pooled all their resources to create a magical artifact called "Heaven-Seizing." It was more powerful than any of them had imagined, yet had only one purpose: under the guidance of successive Heaven-Seizing Taoists, it would secretly punch a hole in the shell. But none of the mighty cultivators had anticipated just how tough the shell was. They gradually perished without ever succeeding.
Until Mo Qing appeared.
