Begging for Sour Writing

I've read too many sweet stories, which makes me feel a little nauseous now. I want to read the kind of sour stories that are both sweet and cruel, neither sweet nor cruel. The male and female protagonists have reasons to be sweet and sad for other reasons. I don't want to read the kind of stories that are cruel for the sake of cruelty and sweet for the sake of sweetness.
