(I’m just writing this for practice. Don’t read it, it’s awful.)
Rustic artsy girl × aloof young master from the capital
It starts as a bit of fun and ends in a long, painful quest to win her back.
The misty waters of Jiangnan drift into the capital. He treats deep affection as a game, and only when she turns away does he realize he has spent half his life in emptiness.
Xu Gu is a small-town girl from the south with an artistic dream. Carrying the gentle, humid air of Jiangnan with her, she steps into the bustle of the capital. She hasn’t seen much of the world, like a wildflower straying into a grand city, yet somehow she catches He Yanjing’s eye.
He is an unloved young master from a distinguished family, aloof by nature and too indifferent to care about anything around him. The only exception is this girl with a bit of a “rustic” air about her. He teases and flirts with her, enjoying the sight of her blushing and flustered, and basking in her wholehearted sincerity and warmth. He never gives much thought to the fact that beneath this passing novelty, feelings have already begun to take root.
When Xu Gu has finally had enough of being disappointed, she turns away with her suitcase. Only then does He Yanjing realize that without her, his world has suddenly become desolate.
Shedding his pride and privilege, he embarks on a belated, desperate and sincere journey to win her back, hoping she’ll turn around and give him one more chance.
