Yusen Arrives Late

(A heartwarming short story, no melodramatic conflict, just a slow-blooming love)

The breeze in Nancheng carries the sweet scent of gardenias through fifteen long years of waiting.

On the bluestone path of the orphanage, Su Muwan slips Lin Yusen a pebble painted with gardenias. “Keep it. I'll come find you someday.” A child's promise becomes the bond that ties them together across the years. After they part, she makes her own way in the world, growing from an orphan who slept under bridges into a world-renowned designer, sketching her dreams into blueprints. He searches for her through countless twists and turns, growing from a timid child into a leading business figure, determined to keep his promise.

Their reunion is a joyous twist of fate, taking them from a distant glance fifteen years ago to a lifetime spent hand in hand. This is a story of waiting and finding one's way to another, of growth and redemption, and a healing love song tucked away in the passage of time. Yusen comes late, just as the flowers bloom, and all that steadfast devotion is finally rewarded with joy.
