At the end of the Ming Dynasty, General Qin Feng, who died for his country, is struck by heavenly lightning and buried in a sinister grave at the Dragon Vein.
Five hundred years later, an ancient coffin is unearthed at a construction site. The instant the archaeological team opens it, he opens his eyes.
Beneath the neon lights of the modern city, an ancient, slumbering Jiangshi awakens, only to discover that this world is more dangerous than the grave.
The mysterious Zhenling Bureau hunts him down, foreign vampires watch from the shadows, and ancient evils quietly stir back to life.
And inside Qin Feng, that strange bolt of heavenly lightning grows more awake with every feeding...
“Since the living world will not let a Jiangshi walk among them, I’ll prove the Dao through undeath and redefine the order of Yin and Yang!”
