[Transmigration story] [Ancient zombie story] [No System] [No supernatural abilities]
An extraterrestrial civilization meets the world of martial heroes!
A realistic, unvarnished ancient zombie story! No golden finger! No flying through the air or burrowing underground! A sweeping look at national hatred, family feuds, martial-world rivalries, and the good and evil of human nature as zombies descend upon a feudal society.
Chen Yan, an office worker from the modern city, gets into a car accident after a class reunion! When he wakes again, he has transmigrated into the body of Chen Xiaozhi, a junior officer in the Jinyiwei of the Chu Kingdom!
The moment he opens his eyes, he sees fires blazing along the palace walls of the capital, Wan’an City. Smoke thick with the stench of burning chokes the air. The clash of weapons, screams, and wails blend into a single din.
The people flee their homes, crowds trample one another, and children cry out for their families.
The once-majestic imperial palace is now lit only by firelight, its shadows thrown into chaos. Everyone is in danger, and pandemonium reigns.
He wonders if there has been a rebellion, if rebel troops have stormed the palace. But looking closer, he realizes that the source of the chaos is a horde of battered, rotting corpses!
That’s right! Not only has he transmigrated to ancient times, but he has landed right in the middle of the world’s end, a zombie Apocalypse! This hellish start leaves Chen Yan at a loss between laughter and tears. He shouts for help, but not only does no System or golden finger appear, he also attracts the zombies nearby!
With no choice but to accept his fate and run, he stumbles into the imperial palace! He comes across a child of about ten, dressed in plain clothes. Before the child can say a word, Chen Yan hoists him over his shoulder and runs, thinking he must be a little eunuch. Bringing him along should at least help him learn about life in this era, and if he’s lucky, the child might know the way around.
Who could have imagined that by carrying this child away, he would carry off the century-old foundation of Great Chu, and bring devastation upon all living things in this world!
