[Synopsis]
Jiang Che is a third-year physics major, widely regarded as a “pure and simple idiot” of a college student. An interview about his act of bravery unexpectedly makes him famous and arouses the suspicions of Lin Wei, a policewoman. His microexpressions are remarkably similar to those of “Faceless,” the legendary killer on the dark web who specializes in executing criminals who have evaded justice.
By day, he is a top student in class with a clean-cut smile. By night, he is the “Virtue Killer” at the top of the rankings, and his System missions are to kill only the guilty. As Lin Wei’s investigation closes in and the deadly threats of a mysterious organization emerge, Jiang Che has no choice but to dance on a tightrope.
“Where were you when the crime happened, student?”
“In my dorm, doing homework, officer.” His eyes are innocent, but the hand behind his back has just wiped away the last drop of blood. In this game of cat and mouse, who will be the first to tear off the other’s disguise?
I like this rhythm. The protagonist is not pretentious, not soft-hearted, does not accept disciples, has no worries, and does not have a heroine. This is the disguised killer I want to see (at least this is the part I saw)
