In the year 378 of the Cosmic Calendar, humanity establishes the Galactic Federation, spanning twelve star sectors. During a border survey, the Federation accidentally opens the dormant ancient ruin known as the Star Abyss Gate, unleashing the endless dark-energy creatures sealed beyond it: Abyss Beasts. Like locusts, they swarm across the star sectors, devouring planets and life.
The Federation’s leading geneticists discover that a small number of humans have an “ancient gene chain” activated in their bodies after contact with Abyss Beast energy. By absorbing the beasts’ cores, they can evolve, becoming humanity’s only hope against the threat. These people are known as Walkers.
The story begins on Colony Planet No. 47, Greenvine Star. It follows the epic journey of a young man named Yun He, from ordinary student to leader of the Walkers and savior of human civilization, as he ultimately uncovers the universe’s ultimate secret behind the Star Abyss Gate.
