The protagonist, Chen Xuan, was diagnosed with a life expectancy of no more than twenty-five. But on his twenty-fifth birthday, he awakened the “Myriad Worlds Correction System” and became a “special doctor.” His patients include a demon king bent on destroying the world, a god of killing with social anxiety, and even the Heavenly Dao, which suffers from “depressive tendencies.” Chen Xuan's treatments include physical sedation with a brick, brainwashing through logic and persuasion, and… writing reverse prescriptions for gods. Each treatment earns him a certain amount of life points and eliminates the cause of the illness he himself gave his patients. He also receives various System rewards and awakens more skills. Later, he joins the patients he has cured to repeatedly save Jiangcheng from crises, including “Jiangcheng Aphasia,” “Jiangcheng Facelessness,” and “Jiangcheng Transparency.” The appearance of Patient Zero eventually reveals why Chen Xuan was able to awaken the System, leading to the novel's ultimate showdown with its biggest boss.
