When the mirror in San Francisco began to copy the city, when the Shadow Corps stopped their butcher knives and began to "listen", when Jackie Chan discovered that the spell was leaking knowledge that should not exist - Lin Jiuge knew that his most fearful prophecy had come true.
Jiuge, a young man who can see the cracks in reality with his eyes, has been escaping from his own abnormalities all his life. Until he met Jackie Chan and Xiaoyu, until the legendary Thirteenth Talisman appeared, until the Holy Lord whispered in prison: "The curtain is breaking, children."
This is not a demon resurrected or magic out of control. This is the collision of the laws of two worlds - on one side are the spells and magic that Jackie Chan is familiar with, and on the other side are the strange dimensions that follow the logic of nightmares. When geometric mazes grow on the streets, when the Sahara Desert begins to swallow sounds, and when the Amazon rainforest has a heartbeat, a cruel truth emerges:
Reality as we know it is just an ancient testing ground. The experimental evaluation has just judged us to be "unqualified."
Jiuge must learn to fight within the broken rules, Xiaoyu must use adventurous intuition to understand the incomprehensible, and Jackie Chan must use his fighting wisdom to fight against disembodied fear. And their former enemies - the Holy Lord, the devil, and even the Black Shadow Corps - may become the only hope for survival.
This is a story about cracks. About finding connections in a broken world, building bridges across the abyss of difference, and proving in the assessment of doomed failure: imperfect life is precisely the most precious accident in the universe.
