The Ultimate Field Theory of a Serf

I, Li Zhe, a PhD in physics, “luckily” transmigrated during a brain-computer interface experiment and became a peasant boy in another world who had just starved to death.

The good news: I brought with me a treasure trove of knowledge from Earth’s civilization.

The bad news: The previous owner of this body died after stealing a moldy piece of black bread from the lord.

As a former researcher, I had planned to explain “human rights” and “the relationship between production and productivity.”

That is, until my father was tied to a post and flogged to death in public, while the lord laughed and said, “A serf’s life is no different from a weed in the field.”

I fell silent.

Then I opened the scientific database in my mind.

When the overseer raised his whip, I used the kinetic energy formula to calculate the easiest angle for disarming him.

When the lord unleashed a bloodline curse, I used quantum entanglement to break it down into storable energy.

When the church inquisitor shouted “Heretic!”, I derived on the spot how to use a superstring vibration model to send his holy light straight back at him.

They taught me the meaning of power with iron and blood.

I answered with the mass-energy equation and probability theory, while also improving the land’s crop yields, because you can’t do research on an empty stomach.

From a thatched hut to a castle, from living on your knees to standing on your own feet.

This isn’t really a story of revenge.

It’s just a grand physics experiment about how “knowledge crushes feudalism.”

(Note: The protagonist’s morals are flexible, but energy is conserved. He’ll reason with people, though mostly with the dead. Before reading, please make sure you accept the premise that “science is the primary productive force.”)
