Siheyuan fan fiction at its finest + whip the courtyard's assorted animals into shape + System

Zhang Jianshe, a corporate drone from the twenty-first century, transmigrates into a Siheyuan courtyard.

He plans to get ahead of everyone and win Qin Huairu first, but the Jia family ruins everything, and he ends up with his engagement broken off.

Through sheer hard work, he becomes a Grade Three electrician in just six years, leaving Jia Dongxu in the dust.

At long last, the long-overdue prank System arrives. Zhang Jianshe settles into a pleasant routine of keeping the courtyard's many beasts in line whenever he has time.
