The Great Ming’s Number One Prince Consort Has Arrived

After Chen Guang angered Zhu Yuanzhang by speaking his mind, his whole family was thrown into the death cells to await execution. No one could have imagined that Chen Tian, the eldest son of the Chen family and a soul from the modern age, would turn this catastrophe into a turning point in his fate.

Facing Zhu Yuanzhang’s thunderous wrath, Chen Tian stood in the imperial court and spoke with financial insight far beyond his time. He discussed the circulation of paper money, stabilizing prices, reforming grain transport, and overhauling the salt-licensing system. Every word struck at the heart of the Ming dynasty’s economy. He deftly transformed his father’s cautious advice into a systematic plan for governing the country, not only stunning the assembled officials but also showing Zhu Yuanzhang a new way to shore up the empire’s finances.

An imperial decree sparing him from execution rang out, and from then on Chen Tian navigated the treacherous world of Ming politics, earning one extraordinary achievement after another. Zhu Yuanzhang arranged for him to marry a princess, and as the imperial son-in-law, he mediated between the Huai-Xi nobles and the Zhe-Dong faction. Amid an empty treasury and urgent crises on the borders, he deployed financial methods infused with modern knowledge, becoming a crucial pillar supporting the new dynasty.
