The CEO Is a Living Good-Luck Charm

[Former strongest in the mystic world, a dying shou ✕ a short-tempered CEO gong who believes in science but is willing to be “fooled”]

Xie Yunxian, once the foremost figure in the mystic world, is now a “sickly beauty” with barely a breath left in him. Cursed by the backlash of his powers and clinging to life by a thread, his final assignment is to serve as a domineering CEO's personal bodyguard, and, as a bonus, borrow some of the man's “pure Yang energy” to stay alive.

Jiang Zhenyue, CEO of Longteng International, is a walking good-luck charm, his Yang energy blazing like the sun. He believes in science and hates charlatans, especially the overly pretty “nepotism hire” spiritual consultant his mother has foisted on him.

And so things go like this:

Xie Yunxian (coughing weakly): “President Jiang, your brow is glowing. Today is a good day to... let me get a little closer.” (He quietly takes a breath of Yang energy.)

Jiang Zhenyue (looking at him coldly): “Fraud. Stay away from me.”

Later

Jiang Zhenyue (gripping someone's wrist tightly): “...Is this close enough? Can you come closer?”
