Three Kingdoms: I Spend Twenty Years Building Up in Lingling

On the day Dong Zhuo deposes the emperor and installs Emperor Xian of Han, Liu Ping transmigrates to Lingling Commandery in the Three Kingdoms era and activates the Timeless Flavor System. With chaos on the horizon, all he wants is to quietly build up his strength. He opens a shop and gathers people, using modern management to make the business the foundation of the common folk's livelihood. From September of Zhongping 6 (189), when Liu Ping transmigrates, to Jian'an 14 (209), when Liu Bei attacks the four southern Jing provinces, Lingling enjoys a full twenty years of peaceful development. In Jian'an 14, news breaks that the twenty years of peace in Lingling are over. The warlords finally remember this remote corner of the frontier. Cao Cao: “Lingling is the richest place under heaven? Send a great army to seize it at once!” Sun Quan: “I hear Liu Ping has a secret method that yields ten shi per mu? The families of Jiangdong must claim it.” Liu Ping sighs. “I just want to keep my head down and cook. You’re forcing me to bring out the gas canister.” When the armies of both sides reach the city walls, they see repeating steel crossbows mounted atop them and villagers arrayed in ranks like a forest, armed with spears of fine steel. “Fire!” Liu Bei: “This is truly a land of benevolence and righteousness. We must invite the master to join us in restoring the Han!” Liu Ping: “Bei, call me Uncle.” He decides that it is time for a new voice to be heard across the land.
