Wasteland World + Farming + Romance
A century after the nuclear blasts, the land stretches for miles as scorched earth, and radioactive dust fills the skies. Bai Lihe, a modern botany PhD, opens her eyes to find herself an orphan in the wasteland. Her parents died in a radiation storm, leaving her only a drafty shack and half a sack of moldy grain.
Scavenging is a basic requirement for survival, but a sudden surge in radiation tides traps her inside the Red Mist Forbidden Zone, where nobody dares to venture. The radioactive plants everyone else avoids are lifesaving medicine in her eyes: the fuzzy silver stargrass can purify water, the thick-fleshed rock lettuce can sate hunger and detoxify, and the climbing creeping fig can be woven into tough vine armor.
With plants as her blades and knowledge as her shield, she carves out a place to survive in the forbidden zone. She grows improved grains that resist radiation, extracts medicine that neutralizes it, and cultivates a barrier of plants to keep out mutated beasts.
When she finally leaves the forbidden zone with her homemade vine bow and a basket full of “treasures,” she runs into a man covered in wounds, his gaze icy cold. He is Zhan Lin, the “Lone Wolf” who inspires terror across the wasteland, yet he willingly sheaths his claws and stands guard beside her little wooden hut, watching her grow a patch of green shoots amid the ruins.
From fighting for survival alone in a desperate wasteland to leading refugees in building an oasis; from being the “madwoman of the forbidden zone,” reviled by all, to the revered “Harvest Goddess.” With hands stained by soil, Bai Lihe plants the wasteland world’s first glimmer of life in the ashes.
It's good to read. I've discovered another treasure in the past two days. He He and Zhan Lin work well together and have a lot of supplies. I hope it gets better and better and can help others. Come on.
