It's Just a Song, So Don't Cry, Ex-Wife Superstar

Jiang Shu transmigrates to a parallel world and becomes a has-been talent abandoned by a diva.

To get online and play games, he takes his five-year-old “max-level human toddler” to compete on a grueling budget travel show.

But the show soon takes an unexpected turn:

Other celebrity dads: Work hard to earn travel money and brave every hardship for their kids.

Jiang Shu: Mooched food, drinks, and favors from his buddies, then orders his daughter, “Kiddo, help Dad clear this level, and I’ll teach you how to con the production crew.”

His daughter sighs. “Parents these days are so hard to handle.”

The viewers crack up: “This isn’t a dad raising his kid, it’s the kid raising her dad!”

But when the show asks the contestants to perform for their dinner,

Jiang Shu picks up a battered guitar and, with his smoky voice, sings “Later” across the wilderness.

The whole internet goes from laughing to crying!

“He teaches his daughter to be strong because he’s been hurt so badly himself!”

“His ex-wife was blind and heartless! How could she let a man this wonderful go?”

Watching his ex-wife kneel outside the production crew’s door and beg for forgiveness, Jiang Shu scratches his head. “Seriously, I just wanted to earn enough to eat. Is all this really necessary?”
