On the Day My Engagement Was Broken, I Stomped a Prince Underfoot

Shen Jinghong, the Chancellor’s daughter and the most beautiful woman in the Great Yu Kingdom, is renowned throughout the land for her talent and gentle nature. The Empress Dowager herself has chosen her as the future wife of the Third Prince.

Yet no one knows that, under her mentor’s guidance within her chambers, she has long since surpassed him.

At her engagement banquet, the Third Prince publicly breaks off their engagement for Su Qingqian, a transmigrated “extraordinary woman,” and allows his followers to humiliate the Shen family. As the entire capital laughs at her, Shen Jinghong smiles and agrees. Then, before the eyes of the crowd, she beats the Third Prince and his pack of lackeys until they’re crawling on the ground. The Second Prince, Li Xuanyi, is watching the spectacle. Far from being frightened, he becomes intensely interested in this Miss Shen, who is “not at all what she seems.”

From then on, one specializes in throwing punches, while the other supplies the weapons and cleans up the mess. Together, they battle from the inner household to the imperial court, and from the capital to the frontier, turning the decaying Great Yu Kingdom upside down. In the end, they lead a realm in ruins back to the heights of a golden age.
