Chen Long, a modern-day food delivery rider, finds a pendant containing the sealed daughter of the Dragon God. As he sleeps, his soul is dragged into the parallel world of the Divinefall Continent. He awakens Long Yan, the Dragon God's daughter, but her pendant unexpectedly shatters into countless fragments scattered across the land. To retrieve them and prevent them from causing calamity, Chen Long and Long Yan set off together. Along the way, they are joined by Sanbao, a little fox demon seeking revenge for her father's murder; Tang San, who has come down from the mountain to gain experience and earn money to rebuild a temple; and Jiang Chen, a corpse-driving general seeking to save his younger brother and avenge his family. Together, they fight all kinds of monsters empowered by the dragon qi inside the pendant fragments. They also face Long Yan's monstrous older brother, the Black Dragon, and the resurrected version of Long Yan from her past life: the zombie Long Yan. Their main enemy is the Dragon King, a flood dragon who sold his soul and merged with monsters. He was not only the culprit who condemned the dragon clan to eternal subjugation beneath the East Sea, but also keeps creating clones to obstruct them. In the end, Chen Long and his companions join forces with the Black Dragon and others to destroy the Dragon King once and for all. All the dragon qi in the pendant then merges into Long Yan, who becomes the new Dragon King. Chen Long ultimately chooses to remain in the parallel world and spend his life with Long Yan.
