The story takes place in the bustling modern city "Mingcheng", where commerce and art are intertwined, and neon lights and old streets coexist. The worlds of top-level plutocrats and ordinary painters seem to be parallel, but they intersect due to an unexpected collection auction. Wen Shiheng, the leader of Mingcheng's top conglomerate, the Wen Group, is known in the business world for his ruthlessness and decisiveness, and is accustomed to weighing everything with interests; Shen Qingran, a young painter who graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts, runs a niche gallery in the old city, living in poverty but adhering to his artistic ideals.
