At 25, Yu Chacha is the undisputed queen of playing sweet and innocent. She has the arm strength to carry a bucket of water by herself, yet insists on putting on a delicate voice and saying, “Sis, I’m too weak to hurt a fly. I can’t even open a bottle unless the wind helps me.” She is a pitiful white lotus on the surface, but behind the scenes she’s a dramatic mess, constantly roasting herself for being “fake to the bone.” With a survival instinct through the roof, her only goal is to cling to the leg of Su Qianjin, the 26-year-old tsundere CEO.
Su Qianjin complains that Chacha is “so sickeningly sweet,” but then turns around and takes on the whole world for her. Rolling her eyes, she shields Chacha from everyone, secretly slips snacks into her bag, and stubbornly tells anyone who will listen, “Chacha is delicate. There’s no way she’d do something like that.” Her cool, powerful-woman persona is completely shattered.
The laid-back, antisocial Jiang Daidai just wants to quietly fade into the background, but Yu Chacha’s absurd acting keeps dragging her into the fray. Her slow reactions can never keep up with the plot. Then there’s Wo Nangfei, whose tear ducts are absurdly sensitive and who’s forever tearing up at the drop of a hat, making her everyone’s source of amusement.
Everyone thinks Yu Chacha sticks to Su Qianjin for money and power. Little do they know she’s completely captivated by Su Qianjin’s adorable contrast between her tough exterior and soft heart. Meanwhile, the odd-couple duo of Jiang Daidai and Wo Nangfei develop a bizarre rapport amid this ridiculous, over-the-top farce. For this whole crew, it’s all about being more than friends but not quite lovers, with comedy above all else. The plot goes completely off the rails!
