The government banned the island from sea, and the tax collectors colluded with the traitor Erzhu to impose exorbitant taxes and extortionate money according to "Chao Gong's decree". Wang Laohan, an old fisherman, was tortured by being exposed to salt for sticking to his faith, while his grandson Ahai became a rebel leader through smuggling to survive, robbery in the execution ground, and bloody battles in caves. The fishing village experienced deception of faith, internal division, betrayal by traitors, naval siege, burning boats and jumping into the sea in desperate situations, maneuvering on reefs, and tidal counterattacks, and finally collapsed the government siege at a tragic cost. After the war, faced with the ruins and the temptation of "recruitment", Ah Hai smashed Chao Gong's memorial tablet, buried the "Heart Guard Monument", and led the remaining villagers to rebuild their homes and spiritual beliefs on the scorched earth.
