Jackals: The Law of the Snowfield

He is the Jackal, a legend among international assassins, a master of disguise who never misses his mark. He walks the razor’s edge for one reason only: to protect the smiles of his wife and son beneath the Spanish sun.

She is the Shield, a myth within the Federal Protection Service, a guardian with a flawless record who can anticipate and neutralize any threat. To make up for the wounds of her childhood, she forged herself into an unfeeling shield.

A deep-sea assassination in the Baltic brings the Jackal the most dangerous assignment of his career: eliminate the Shield. Intelligence reports that this perfect guardian has shown a weakness for the first time.

But the weakness itself is a trap. As the Jackal cautiously closes in, he discovers that he is caught not only in a deadly contest with an elite protector, but also in a vast conspiracy linked to his dark past. Meanwhile, as the Shield hunts the phantom killer, she gradually realizes that their fates crossed years ago, bound together by the same corrupt shadow.

From the mists of the Baltic to the sunshine of Andalusia, from London’s underground command center to Siberia’s merciless snowfields, the ultimate showdown begins, a battle of skill, will, and redemption.

This is a hunt between two lonely monsters, and a deadly journey through lies and betrayal in search of truth and redemption. When the law of the snowfields takes hold, they must choose: remain pawns of the system, or make their own rules.
