I Asked You to Make It Rain, Not Shoot Down an ICBM!

When drug traffickers broke into a border weather station, Chen Ming was studying the System's gift, An Introduction to Meteorological Artillery.

Drug trafficker: “Hey, kid, mind if we hide here for a bit?”

Chen Ming glanced at the weather signal gun he'd just taken apart and offered an earnest suggestion:

“I'd find somewhere else to hide. The signal around here isn't great.”

“Cut the crap!” the trafficker began, but before he could finish,

“Boom!”

A meteorological shell skimmed over their heads and blew a hole in the wall.

The trafficker stared in shock. “You're with... the weather bureau?”

Three months later, the bureau chief looked at the “civilian rainmaking cannons” in the warehouse, at a loss for words.

A military bigwig crouched on the ground and refused to leave. “Engineer Chen, if you agree to join us, you can have your pick of the professors' chairs at the institute!”

Chen Ming politely declined. “No thanks. I've still got three radars to repair!”

The United States threatens to shut down the radar?

Standing atop the radar station, Chen Ming sighed as he munched on sunflower seeds:

“I just want to do the weather forecast in peace. Why does everyone keep forcing me to work on military tech?”
