The Gene Project: Prehistoric Planet

Prehistoric life forms are among the most brilliant chapters in the history of life on Earth, and among the greatest miracles in the history of species evolution. For a long time, they have been a favorite topic of discussion among paleontologists and fossil enthusiasts alike. As the world developed and human technology continued to advance, the secrets hidden in genes were gradually unlocked, and the truth behind fossils slowly came to light. Against the backdrop of rapid technological progress, humanity turned its attention to prehistoric life. Hoping to recreate the prehistoric kingdoms of old, the United Nations announced the “Gene Project” internationally in 2020 and established the United Nations Gene Project Organization. In 2021, the United Nations founded the International Gene Project Corporation, headquartered in the capital of Huaxia, with branches around the world conducting gene experiments in different regions. In 2023, humanity successfully revived several species of prehistoric plants. In 2027, the first dinosaur, a Compsognathus, was born in a laboratory. Using this technology, branches around the world then succeeded in reviving various prehistoric life forms. Although the success and survival rates were low, humanity saw the hope and possibility of restoring the prehistoric kingdoms. In 2030, the first member of the Dromaeosauridae was born in a laboratory. In 2034, humanity successfully revived several species of hadrosaur. In 2036, several members of the Ceratopsidae returned to the world. In 2040, members of the Stegosauria reappeared, and in the same year several members of the Spinosauridae were born in laboratories. In 2045, members of the Titanosauria and Abelisauridae were born in laboratories. In 2050, the Tyrannosaurus rex and Giganotosaurus appeared. The future of humanity’s “Gene Project” looked boundless. In 2065, Han Lingqin became head of the organization’s headquarters.
