[In a nutshell] I transmigrated into the role of the Ninth Princess Consort, and I'm not interested in palace intrigue. I'm here to make money. I got the Ninth Prince to help build roads, make medicine, and sell canned goods, and before long, we had pushed the Qing dynasty to the brink of an industrial revolution.
[Synopsis]
Dong'e Mingyue transmigrated into the role of the Ninth Princess Consort in the Qing dynasty. Looking at Yinsi, the handsome man destined for tragedy, she slapped the table. “I'm not acting out this doomed, lovesick side-character script!”
Palace intrigue? No time. Household scheming? Too much trouble.
She rolled up her sleeves and put the “encyclopedia” cheat she had brought with her to work:
She built cement roads all the way to Tianjin, earning Kangxi's praise for serving the nation and its people.
She promoted smallpox vaccination across the Qing empire, and the people called her a living bodhisattva.
She sold glass mirrors in Europe and brought home mountains of gold and silver.
And while she was at it, she even developed penicillin, snatching people from the jaws of death.
The Ninth Prince, Yinsi, went from stunned to numb, then finally clasped her hand. “Princess Consort, what other surprises have you got up your sleeve?”
Mingyue blinked. “Your Highness, would you like to try some self-heating Buddha Jumps Over the Wall? And take a look at this proposal for military rations?”
Later...
At a banquet in the Forbidden City, a member of the Crown Prince's faction sneered, “The Ninth Prince's wife spends all day chasing money. It's utterly unbecoming.”
Mingyue set down her chopsticks and smiled sweetly. “My lord, the cement road under your feet, the life-saving medicine used by the army, and the million taels added to the treasury were all paid for with that ‘stench of money.’ Why don't you step aside and let the road through?”
Later still...
Kangxi read the reports of a flourishing economy and a full treasury, then looked at the sons who did nothing but claw at each other over the throne. He sighed. “Ninth Son, perhaps... you should take the throne?”
Yinsi grabbed Mingyue and ran for his life. “Imperial Father! Your son only wants to be a loyal subject
It's really beautiful. A different Qing Dynasty. A different nine sons seizing the throne.
The subject matter is novel, and I like to read Qiangguo. It has golden fingers but does not only rely on golden fingers. The heroine has her own ideas. It is indeed a cool novel.
Indeed, as descendants who have experienced a hundred years of humiliation, they all want to make a small contribution in that era that can influence future generations. They hope that the country can be strong and prosperous and the people can live and work in peace and contentment. No longer stick to the little love in the back house, focus on the family, country and world. Big thoughts and big hearts. It's a bit too idealistic and beautiful. This is also everyone's wish.
The writing is good and the content is relatively novel. Different from ordinary time-travel novels, there is no house fight or life-and-death hatred between the heroine and the supporting character. Continue to pursue the story.
