Flowers in Full Bloom, Heading for the Sun

Botany professor and devoted pursuer Lie Yang × artist Xu Chen, who quits his job to chase his dream

Gentle, sweet romance, healing, younger man/older man

Xu Chen gives up on the life he had pursued for years without success and resolutely returns to his hometown. There, he unexpectedly encounters the person his grandfather often spoke of in his memories. Meeting him is a wondrous twist of fate. As they gradually open their hearts to each other and weather regret and guilt before finally reaching happiness, this place has already become a safe haven. Every hardship and affliction will bloom into flowers, each one budding and reaching toward the sun.

At the heart of their love:

Love is two flowers, weathered by storms and bearing scars. It is choosing to journey toward the warmth meant for you alone, accepting each other’s inborn imperfections, and helping each other find redemption and fulfillment. It means not using love to confine another, nor binding someone through self-sacrifice. It is two people staying together while each remains whole and true to themselves, becoming each other’s sunlight and each other’s home.
