Dongguan Stories: My Sins and Bonds with Seven Older Sisters

My name is Chen Sheng. I was born in a province in western China. In 2002, while I was in school, I cracked open the skull of a rich kid. His dad drove a Mercedes to the school, shouting that he’d pull strings to have me locked up. In the end, I was forced to graduate early, pack my bags, and head south to Dongguan, where I went to stay with a cousin from my village!

Dongguan had just opened up at the time, and gold was everywhere. If you were bold enough, there were countless opportunities! I went from being a penniless factory apprentice who knew nothing to helping people close deals and manage venues, and eventually built a business of my own!

There was hardship and happiness, loyalty and betrayal. There are too many things that can’t simply be judged as right or wrong!

Today, I just want to tell you my story!
