I was born in an ancient town in the south of the Yangtze River, and my favorite place was hanging out under the roof of an old teahouse since I was a child.
Listening to Zhou Xiazi's mouth full of smoke and a pot of strong tea, he told all the strange things he had heard for most of his life.
Half of what is recorded in this book comes from "word of mouth" passed down by blind people in teahouses, and half comes from "what I saw and heard" when I walked through the streets and alleys of Jiangnan when I grew up.
Today, the teahouse has been demolished and the blind man has passed away.
I combined the strange things and anecdotes he told me with my strange experiences and wrote this "Jiangnan Strange Stories".
Are you ready? You have entered the inner world of Jiangnan Water Town!
