The Genius Chef's Silly Wife Joins the Army, and the Officer Craves Her Night After Night

[Period setting + food + marriage first, love later + military marriage and moving to the army base]

Su Hongxia is the head chef at state banquets. She wakes up one day having transmigrated to the 1970s, an era of shortages and hardship.

The bad news: She's known throughout the local villages as the “big, silly sister,”

and her parents are forcing her to marry Lu Huaizhou, a retired officer from the neighboring village whose leg was injured, so they can find a wife for their son.

The good news: Lu Huaizhou has an amazing build, with broad shoulders, a slim waist, and long legs. His leg may be temporarily injured, but his military pension is generous!

Su Hongxia looks at the hard, dry corn bun in her hand, then at the handsome man in the wheelchair, whose face is like fine jade but whose expression warns everyone to stay away.

The whole military compound is waiting for a laugh. Colonel Lu has married a fool, so surely their life together will be a complete disaster.

Who could have guessed that the smell of braised pork and oil-braised shrimp drifting from the Lu home every day would make everyone's mouth water and their stomachs ache with longing?
