My Great Ming: The Sun and Moon Shine Anew

In 2025, a young scholar who felt profound sympathy and confusion about the history of the Ming Dynasty suddenly died while poring over historical records from the Chongzhen reign through the night. He transmigrated into the body of the Chongzhen Emperor, Zhu Youjian, on the fourth day of the tenth month in the second year of the Chongzhen reign (1629). By then, the Later Jin army led by Huang Taiji had breached the Great Wall at Xifengkou, captured Zunhua, Jizhou, and other places in quick succession, and was advancing in force toward Beijing. History would remember this as the “Yi Si Crisis.”

With no elite troops at home, powerful enemies abroad, an empty treasury, and incessant factional strife, the transmigrator must act at once. He will draw on strategic insight beyond his era, modern management expertise, and a precise understanding of historical figures. As he protects loyal officials and unites the forces at his disposal, he must also attempt a more profound and difficult institutional breakthrough and transformation of hearts and minds than mere military struggle. He vows to restore the glory of the Ming Dynasty.
