Guifang Heads South

The story begins on a winter night in 2023, when 78-year-old Lin Guifang froze to death beneath a bridge. As she lay dying, she heard her children’s voice messages in the family group chat: “The old woman’s finally dead. Keep the funeral simple.” What made her even more furious was when Liu Meilan, the woman her husband Zhang Jianguo had always loved, showed up with her illegitimate children to taunt her: “Dear sister, you raised my children for me. Now it’s time to step aside.”
