[Urban legends + rule-based puzzles + timed survival + bonds between teammates]
A letter containing a black card drags a twilight spent among old books onto a dark road with no end in sight.
Becoming a "recipient" means being forced to sign away your life. Under the shadow of urban legends, you must unravel one deadly rule after another, trading precious "postage" for time to stay alive.
With his closest friend guiding him, Chen Zhou and his companions struggle through one eerie, terrifying event after another. As he narrowly survives each ordeal and accumulates postage, hoping to find clues about his missing younger sister, he gradually discovers that the truth behind the so-called "waystations" and night roads is far darker and more ancient than he ever imagined...
At the end of the road, postage brings no escape, only a more brutal truth that will determine everyone's fate.
"The night road is long. Why not come in for a cup of tea, dear traveler, and let me tell you a story about those envelopes, the rules, and the agents who walk between light and darkness...?"
"Night Agent" constructs a spine-chilling world of the dark side of the city. The setting of "Station Pavilion" is amazing. It turns the ordinary task of "delivering letters" into a test of life and death fighting against strange rules. The horror described by the author is not a simple jump scare, but stems from the exploration of unknown rules and the psychological oppression that presses step by step. The protagonist Chen Zhou's calmness and wisdom shine in despair, and his interactions with mysterious characters such as Lu Yan and Shi Guang are even more suspenseful. This book is a perfect combination of suspense and thriller. Once you open the book, you will follow the protagonist's footsteps and explore the truth in the fog of rainy nights until your heart beats faster and you cannot put it down.
It's so interesting, it has a good rhythm, a strong sense of atmosphere, and good writing, but the content is relatively sparse at the moment. It's a book with great potential, and I hope it will continue to be like this
