1. Worldbuilding: The “Three Realms” are actually experimental prisons created by an ancient “spirit-mechanical civilization.” The Mortal Realm is an “abandoned testing ground,” with depleted spirit veins and lingering mutated machines. The Spirit Realm is an “energy farm,” where the Soul-Eaters use living spirit veins to generate power. The Fallen Realm is the “core control room.” The star core is a button for rebooting the civilization, and it conceals a “God-Slaying Program” designed to turn on the experimenters.
2. Power system: The conventional logic of “mystic meridians” is overturned. There are “aligned meridians” and “inverted meridians.” The Soul-Eaters and ordinary cultivators follow aligned meridians, advancing by plundering spirit veins, but risk suffering backlash from their cultivation realm. The protagonist alone possesses inverted meridians, breaking through by devouring “mutated energy.” The weaker the environment of the Mortal Realm, the stronger he becomes. Inverted meridians have only one attribute, “Starfall,” yet can replicate every ability of aligned meridians.
3. Central conflict: The Soul-Eaters want to drain the star core and become the new masters of the testing ground. The protagonist wants to activate the star core’s “God-Slaying Program” and break out of the prison, only to discover that activating it will destroy every living being in all three realms.
